    Great camera!
Great value for the money. Super easy to use; it’s very “plug and play”, just plug it in and it works right away. The sound is good, temperature seems accurate, no lag, seems pretty sturdy. I love that it doesn’t use wifi, the battery lasts a good while, I like that it flips through both cameras, the night vision is good as well, no lag.

Simple, high quality, no fuss, closed circuit baby monitors.
I recently ordered my second one of these cameras, in the 2 camera pack instead of the single in preparation of welcoming my second baby.I’m already a big fan of the WiFi and Bluetooth free functionality of the cameras for privacy reasons which earns these at least 3 stars in my book.Beyond that, they are incredibly simple to install, and because they are WiFi and Bluetooth free they connect instantly so it’s a no hassle setup. The interface is also pretty self-explanatory if you understand tech at all, otherwise it comes with a well-rounded manual. If you’re unsure about the price, I purchased my first camera new, and then my 2-pack came open box from VTech. I’m noticing zero difference in quality, and I saved nearly 50%.

    Zero complaints!
These always worked great and one day out monitor broke! I contacted vtech and they replaced it for us pretty seamlessly which was totally unexpected but appreciated! We can see our kids great and from the front yard -back yard… have had zero issues besides when the monitor broke & im not sure what went wrong but we’ve had them for years and I would recommend!

    Reliable duel camera
The overall quality of this camera and monitor is good and we enjoy the use of it. There are a couple cons with it, but overall it is a good camera. Pictured, the stand on the back of this monitor is not big enough to hold it upright if on a soft surface such as a couch. You have to use something to stand it up or put it on a table. Not a huge issue, but the generation we had before this one had a better stand on it. The night vision quality is good, but not as clear as what we were expecting. I do love that the light shows the sound level in the room going from green to Orange to red if your little one is very upset. It also has a sleep mode that still has the sound on, but the bright light the screen is off. Set up was also very simple and it comes with wall mounts. The chords that come with each item are very long, which is extremely helpful . Overall, the camera is a good buy and worth the money considering the price is about middle ground when it comes to baby monitors.

It does good for what it is, but the zoom is disappointing.
I bought the 5 inch LCD screen, but I should have paid the extra twenty dollars for the HD screen. As you can see, the smaller screen is one that I have had for about two years now, but it is limited in what it can do as far as seeing a large area. The clarity, color and resolution is much better on the one I had versus the 5 inch LCD screen that I just bought. The first camera I bought stays fixed in one place and you can move it around manually, but that is inconvenient. This new one has the ability to pan and tilt from the parent monitor. That is so convenient when you need to see what is going on in more than one fixed spot. The zoom feature is basically useless. It can zoom a little but not much.I use this camera in my barn to keep an eye on my goats. Any cameras that run off of wifi do not work, as the barn is a little two far from my house. (Roughly 100 feet) This is perfect for that. I rarely have connectivity issues. The only time I lose connection is when the power goes off. The parent monitor can run on its battery, but the camera has to be plugged in at all times. The temperature sensor is a nice feature to have to monitor the temperature in the barn, and is very accurate. Also, if my husband or I am in the barn feeding or doing chores we can speak through the monitor. I do not use the music feature, but it works nicely.Overall, these cameras have given me peace of mind, so they get a five star rating. I would definitely pay the extra for the HD screen if I had it to do over again.

    The sound is absolute garbage
Update 1 year later: I got this setup originally in late 2023 a couple months before my November baby was born as this was for him. I’m changing my 3 star review to 1 until vtech does something. Vtech has a sepearate customer service page just for their baby monitor systems. I contacted them months ago over the temperature icon suddenly disappearing. No reply. It reappeared eventually though so I never bothered reaching out agaun for it.As of having it for a year now though more issues have popped up and the biggest one being one of the three cords has stopped working. Won’t charge the monitor or turn on the cameras. It’s just. A dead cord now.Second, the monitor hardly retains as much battery life anymore. The battery life for the monitor over time has gone down a lot which has made the cord issue all the bigger because if i need to charge the monitor I’m down one camera.Three. One of the cameras now has rotation issues to the point where it fully stops mid rotation, chugs along funny, and turns at the pace of a snail.I contacted vtech asking HOW i could replace the cord last week at this point. It’s been almost a whole business week with no reply. And I thought I’d add this fun picture since having this system. Vtech claims it can only have 2 cameras. My monitor has glitches a couple times to have this screen and I was lucky on the second time it happened to catch a Pic. Still can only have 2 cams but :(I’m sure there’s enough videos that I don’t need to add my own but this video monitor while great for the price is absolutely crap sound wise. It was right next to a room and could not pick up on one of my kids crying bloody murder when we could hear him across the house. Monitor has issues picking up on sounds next to it altogether. My kid has screamed at the monitor and not only does the sound lag it hardly picks up even at full volume. The other con for this thing is the image quality is super meh. If you wanna see if the kid is sleeping or breathing the image fuzzes so much you can’t even tell if their eyes are closed. The battery quality also is weirdly 50/50 on how long it lasts. We’ll charge it fully and it’ll either last hours near the full time it says or half that. No changed settings. It also does not do good near any sunlight. Ruins the image entirely. We have curtains in the room we have this in and sunlight just icks it. It cannot face the window at all. Some pros to this are its night vision. The night vision is pretty bright and I’m decently impressed with it. The two way talk is nice as well. My kids can definitely hear me through it. Though it is a little bit of a con for them that we can’t hear each other at the same time if they make noise back. And that the camera mutes itself any time it moves. This camera also has no invert features that will allow you to change the image set up of the camera. Like if you turn it upside down on the hanging mount your side images are goofed. So to have the image perfect without goof you will have a blind spot directly down. And to add to the sound being garbage I turned on the music. Super loud on the parent unit. Actually went out to hear it myself and nothing. Barely anything. It is what it is. So overall to sum it up despite its low price for a double came monitor…if ever comes to need to buy a new one or replace…I would not buy this one again for my needs.

This monitor is perfect for having two kids sleeping in different rooms! The split screen has great clear view and I love being able to have the screen off and only turn on when noise is heard. Switching between duel and single screen is easy, talk option works great!
