Absolutely love it
Love love love, so much better than the diaper genie, if ur a first time mom trying to decide which one to get, just like I was, I ended up buying both and just wish I saved the money, the ubbi is so much better, I never smell any of the diapers in it and even tho it appears smaller than the genie, it has so much more space in it because u can use actual bags instead of the skinny little bags the genie uses. 100% this one over the genie. Super easy to use, i know its white, but its nice and clean/smooth surface makes it easy to clean off if anything happens. And definitely worth the money, all coming from a first time mom, i love it

Best Diaper Pail – No Proprietary Refills Required!
As a new parent, the Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail has been one of my best baby gear purchases. After researching multiple diaper pails, I’m so glad I chose this one.No Special Refills – Thank God!This is THE biggest selling point for me. Unlike other popular diaper pails that force you to buy their expensive proprietary refill cartridges, the Ubbi uses any standard 13-gallon trash bag. This saves so much money in the long run! I was shocked when I learned how much those special refills cost for other brands – it’s essentially a subscription tax on parents. With the Ubbi, I can buy whatever trash bags are on sale or in bulk, and I’m not locked into one brand’s ecosystem. This feature alone makes it worth every penny.Odor Control:The steel construction and rubber seals do an excellent job containing odors. Even with multiple dirty diapers sitting in there, I don’t smell anything unless I open the lid. The sliding lid mechanism creates a tight seal that really works. Our nursery stays fresh, which is especially important since we spend so much time in there.Steel Construction:The powder-coated steel is sturdy and doesn’t absorb odors like plastic pails do. It feels substantial and well-built – not like a cheap plastic bin that will crack or retain smells over time. I can tell this will last through multiple children.Easy to Use:The sliding lid is intuitive and can be operated with one hand, which is crucial when you’re holding a squirming baby. You don’t need to step on a pedal or wrestle with a complicated mechanism. Just slide it open, drop the diaper in, and slide it closed.Child Lock:The child-proof lock on the sliding lid is a great safety feature. It’s easy enough for adults to operate but prevents curious toddlers from getting into it.Capacity:Holds plenty of diapers before needing to be emptied. With a newborn, we empty it every 2-3 days, which is very reasonable.Easy to Clean:The steel interior wipes down easily and doesn’t retain stains or smells. Much better than plastic in this regard.Design:The modern, sleek design looks good in the nursery. It doesn’t scream “diaper pail” and comes in various colors to match your décor.Cost-Effectiveness:While the upfront cost is higher than some plastic pails, the savings on bags more than makes up for it. Not being forced to buy expensive refill cartridges means this pays for itself quickly. Plus, the durability means you won’t need to replace it.Minor Considerations:- It’s heavier than plastic pails due to the steel construction, but that also makes it more stable- The initial investment is higher, but absolutely worth it for the long-term savingsBottom Line:The Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail is the smart choice for parents who don’t want to be locked into buying expensive proprietary refills. It’s well-designed, effective at odor control, durable, and will save you money over time. Highly recommend this to any expecting or new parent!

Works for Aging Adult using Depends S/M
I’m impressed! This is the 3rd morning of use without changing the bag – About 10-12 men’s Depends size S/M are inside. The smell is contained with the lid closed!!!I bought this for my 95-year old Dad. He needs to fold the Depends up to put them into the 5-inch diameter hole. As the bag fills, he has had to push the Depends down. I’m going to place an old ruler nearby for pushing down Depends diapers. I’ve placed utility towels and cleaning spray nearby for easy clean up incase residue touches the hole edges.Pros:1) Contains the smell with the lid closed.2) Save me from having to empty the trash after every visit to the bathroom3) Slender size (13-gallon) and height to fit next to the toilet for ease of use.4) No special bag requiredCons:1) Wish the hole was a bit bigger, even 5.5-inch diameter would make it easier for larger diapersTo Ubbi: You are missing a market opportunity with our aging population by not making the hole larger to handle larger diapers.

Still the Best Diaper Pail Out There – Just Know You’ll Empty It More Often Over Time
We’ve been using the Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail since our daughter was a newborn—she’s now 16 months old. Around 14 months, we actually bought a second one and replaced our original. Not because it broke, but because we hoped a fresh start might help with odor control now that she’s eating solids and having more frequent bowel movements. What I’ve come to realize is that it’s not the diaper pail—it’s just the reality of toddler diapers. When she was younger, we could go 2-3 days without emptying it. Now, we really need to empty it daily or every other day to keep odors in check. That’s just part of the phase.Even with that, the Ubbi is excellent. The steel construction does a much better job of locking in odors compared to plastic pails we’ve tried, and the fact that you can use regular kitchen trash bags is a huge plus—no overpriced refill bags required. I’ve also started putting a small baking soda air freshener at the bottom of the pail, and that’s helped a bit too. After about a year of use with the first pail, I did notice a couple of subtle dents and a small rust mark on the exterior, but nothing that affected performance. Clearly, that didn’t stop me from buying another one!If you’re looking for a diaper pail that’s efficient, easy to use, and looks nice in the nursery, this one is still my go-to.

It gets smelly
Great diaper pail, with one exception. It gets smelly.Look, it’s a good pail, it’s does great to contain the smell. Seriously, no smells, until you change the bag. But you can’t get rid of the smell from the pail.If you buy this and want to keep it for more than 1 baby, love yourself and get the small disposable bags so you end up double wrapping diapers… learn to wrap every diaper with a small bag, and toss them. Don’t put dirty diapers just in the one big bag of this pail. The individual bags reduces humidity in the pail, and reduces the opportunity for smells to get into places you can’t get it out of… Protect this investment, and buy the small trash bags for diapers.

Seals in the stink!
This can is great! It uses normal kitchen garbage bags, and best yet it locks in odors. Skip the diaper genie and go for this one!

Perfect for its intended use
This is amazing because you can just use regular trash bags. After maybe closer to two years tho it’s hard to keep it from smelling bad.

Received but all dented on the other side

Ottimo.

This diaper pail came recommended and I thought spending more the $100 on a diaper pail was ridiculous. This pail blocks odour like nobody’s business, and using regular garbage bags makes it simple! It is easy to slide the lid open with one hand, and the locking feature is nice (although we don’t always lock it). Our dog has zero interest in the diapers in the pail. The first Ubbi I received was dented, but Amazon customer service was fantastic and sent a new one.

This Ubbi diaper bin is a great choice for new mums. It’s good quality, compact, and very easy to use. Definitely worth the money. It doesn’t require special liners—you can simply use regular household bin bags. It’s easy to clean, simple to change bags, and effectively contains any odour. Highly recommended and truly worth it.
