Why are the temperature readings different when using ear mode and forehead mode?

Ear mode measures eardrum infrared radiation for accurate core temperature. Forehead mode scans skin surface, which can be affected by ambient temperature, sweat, or angle. For the most accurate reading, use ear mode.

My forehead mode readings seem lower than expected. What should I do?

Ensure the thermometer is 0-3 cm away from the center of your forehead, avoiding hair or eyebrows. Wipe away sweat or moisture before measuring, as these may affect results.

Why do I get different readings when measuring multiple times in a row?

Avoid rapid consecutive measurements, as sensor temperature may rise and impact accuracy. Wait at least 30 seconds between readings for consistent results.

How do I properly use ear mode?

Gently insert the probe into the ear canal, pull the upper ear backward to straighten the canal, then press the button. Ear mode provides more stable and reliable readings.
