Trash cans without escape of odor, or diapers
I love the fact that I can easily reach the bucket in my room and it doesn’t smell bad, nor does it give a messy or casual appearance to the room

Modern Diaper Pail with Great Odor Control, BUT Unusable Without Batteries
So I’ve been using this diaper pail for a couple of weeks now, and overall it’s been working pretty well for us.The diaper pail itself looks very modern and aesthetically pleasing. It’s fairly tall in size and holds a decent amount of dirty diapers before needing to be emptied. The build is mostly plastic, and while it feels fine overall, the front door does feel a bit flimsy. Only time will tell how well the moving parts hold up with regular use. Pricing seems to be in the same ballpark as other premium diaper pails, so only go for this one if you specifically want the motion sensor feature. The setup wasn’t hard, but definitely read the included instructions first (or scan the QR code to watch the instructional video), especially for the bag system. It uses a continuous liner that you pull out and cut with a built-in blade, which is actually pretty convenient once you figure it out. I’d also be a bit careful with the legs; the plastic clips that hold them in place feel like they could break if you force them. The motion sensor works really well. It’s very responsive to hand movements and opens the lid smoothly and quickly. There’s also a button next to the sensor if you want to keep it open during diaper changes, which is nice to have, because otherwise, the lid would keep closing after just a few seconds.Odor control has honestly been the best part. I live in an apartment with really poor ventilation, and I can say that when the pail is closed, I don’t smell the dirty diapers at all. It does a really good job sealing everything in.There are a few downsides, though. First, the sensor is almost too sensitive. Sometimes just walking past it will trigger the lid to open, so you have to be a bit careful where you place it.Second, the diaper pail has an inner flap that remains closed until you push on it, which is good in theory since it aids in trapping the odors, but can be a little annoying. It works fine when dropping in soiled diapers because the weight will just open the flap. But throwing away wipes isn’t as easy since you have to push the flap open with your hand, meaning the flap can get dirty over time with your soiled hands or dirty wipes. You’ll need to wipe that inner flap every now and then. That inner flap will also remain closed if the diaper pail is overfilled, since it needs space to swing open. And finally, what might be the biggest issue for some is that this diaper pail fully relies on batteries. There’s no manual way to open the lid if the batteries die, which makes the whole thing unusable until you replace them. It takes 4 AA batteries, so definitely keep extras around.Overall, it works well and does what it’s supposed to do, especially when it comes to odor control and giving your changing area a modern and futuristic flair. Just be aware of the battery dependency and its other quirks before buying.

This diaper pail was sent from the future
This diaper pail is living in 3005, and all of the others are stuck in the 2020s, lol. Seriously though, this is an absolute necessity… it’s that one baby accessory that you don’t realize you truly need until you purchase it.Other pails have fussy lids that latch shut. Some have a step lid, but even that can be kind of cumbersome when your hands are full. The Jool Baby diaper pail has a motion-sensing lid that just requires a simple hand wave to open. The CONVENIENCE. This pail comes with a pack of liners to get you started, but the thing I love the most (after the motion sensing lid, of course) is that you can use regular kitchen trash bags as liners, so you don’t have to purchase proprietary liners that are made exclusively for the brand. Because nearly every other pail on the market has its own special liners, and it gets old after a bit.Oh, did I mention the part where there are no smells? Because there are no smells. They are completely contained, and this deserves a 6th star based on that alone. This pail is lightweight, easy to set up, and is extremely aesthetically pleasing, clean-looking, and modern. Upon first glance it honestly kind of looks like a dehumidifier or a stand up speaker or noise machine, almost? It definitely doesn’t look like something that could potentially be full of dirty diapers, lol.For the price, I think this is SO worth it. Buy this for your own nursery and be at peace knowing that you have the best and most convenient pail on the market. Or gift it and know that the recipient has one less thing to struggle with while raising a little one.

it only works half of the time…
This pail has a wave-sensor, however it only works half of the time… It’s also extremely unstable, my baby can easily knock it over. Would not recommend if you have an little ones starting to crawl.

Motion Lid and No Special Bags? Yes Please
When a friend announces they are expecting, the hunt begins for a baby gift that will actually be useful and not just cute for a week. This diaper pail ended up being one of those gifts that makes you feel like you picked a good one.First off, the motion sensing lid is such a smart feature. When you are holding a baby with one arm and a diaper with the other, the last thing you want to do is wrestle with a lid. Just wave your hand and it opens, which makes the whole diaper changing process a lot more convenient.Another thing I really like about this pail is that it works with regular trash bags. A lot of diaper pails require special refills that can get expensive over time, so the fact that this one doesn’t is a huge plus. It keeps things simple and saves money in the long run.The odor lock system also seems well designed. Obviously we did not personally put it through months of diaper duty yet since it was a gift, but it feels solid, seals well, and is designed specifically to keep those diaper smells contained. If you have ever been around a newborn, you know that feature alone is worth its weight in gold.It also holds a surprisingly large number of diapers for a newborn, which means fewer trips to empty it. That is something any new parent will appreciate when they are already running on very little sleep.Overall, this feels like a thoughtful and practical baby gift. It has a few smart features that make life easier, it avoids the hassle of specialty bags, and it looks nice enough to keep in the nursery. If you are looking for something useful for a baby shower instead of another onesie, this is a great choice.
