Straight forward to use, same as a lot of others. Like any other temporal thermometer I’ve used, it gives a range of temps even if you take a temp a few times within a few minutes.

Defective out of the box
As soon as you insert two batteries, “Err” in the gray background gets displayed. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. Despite being brand new, the device is essentially a paperweight. The power button is completely unresponsive, and the unit refuses to turn on. While the volume buttons trigger a green light, no other functions work.I even went as far as buying a fresh pack of Duracell batteries to ensure it wasn’t a power issue, but it made no difference. This is clearly a defective unit.

I purchased the Medical Grade FSA-HSA heavy duty infrared forehead thermometer to replace my old digital thermometer under the tongue style. I wanted one that would be a touchless and had a good review rating. After much searching, I picked this one although the price was above my budget, it was on sale, so I bought it. I am so glad I did purchased it. When I took it out of the box, I was reading the instructions. I had it on object and it registered the inside of the house at 74 degrees, exactly what was on my thermostat read at 74 degrees. I feel I made a solid and reliable purchase. I highly recommend this product. I know there are many out there but this is worth the money.
