    No white dust! Breathing better.
Easy to use, low speed is barely audible. Even medium speed is pretty quiet. Seems well made. I bought some replacement filters so I’ll have them on hand. It’s not “automatic” meaning no humidity sensor, but it’s not really needed. I bought a Antonki 2 Pack Room Thermometer-Hygrometer Indoor Humidity Meter. They work great and are pretty accurate. I’m also using a two part additive to the water, bacteriast & demineralizer. I bought that at Lowe’s for about $11.00, a LOT cheaper than anything on AZ. I’ll post some pictures and review in a few weeks.A few more notes, I have a few air purifiers and the filters didn’t seem to last long, maybe they were removing the white dust my former ultrasonic humidifiers (that went to the ewaste recycle) even though they had demineralizer filters. Ok, you read this far, one IMHO ultrasonic humidifiers fault is the humidity sensor is in the same unit as the humidifier, so sure it thinks there is plenty of moisture. Placing the separate humidity sensor away from them gives a better idea of actual value. :-)Update: week 2. Using the water treatment mentioned above and I clean them every week and have found no mold or anything else growing. Actually, other than the filters having some mineral buildup, they are pretty clean. I soaked the filters in white vinegar/water for about 30 minutes and it removes most of the buildup.Hope this helps…

Adds humidity and easy to use
This is a great humidifier. Works well in our master bedroom. It has improved the dryness. It is very easy to fill up. It is also great as ‘white noise’. I had purchased a different model but returned it for this one. I highly recommend!

Easy to fill and clean. Good for small room.
Works well in a small bedroom. Noise lever on low is acceptable for sleeping. Like the evaporator type since it doesn’t spew chemicals into the air. Using it with tap water and haven’t had any mineral depost build up yet. Seems well made. Easy to fill and clean.

Does the job, no mess, no fuss
It’s silent, there’s no dripping or leaks (so far), it’s easy to see the water level. And it’s done a good job of pushing humidity up from a paltry, dessicating 20% to a respectable 44% at this very moment.Just wish it had been available in white. Which, it turns out, Honeywell does make.

I’ve bought so many humidifiers. This is the most reliable
Long story, but the takeaway is that I really like this humidifier.I had a white one of these that someone gave me for free. I had no idea what a great thing they’d given me. I liked how it worked, but didn’t like that it had a “filter” (really, more of a sponge) and I didn’t like how huge it was. So I gave it away and bought a newer-sleeker looking humidifier for myself. My new replacement humidifier was the ultrasonic type (ultrasonic are the other main type of humidifier: they vibrate imperceptibly and the vibrations send a fog of aerosols into the air, which you can see and is pretty). It was compact, it was all black with no blue/white/whatever to make it stand out. I loved it. I loved it for about three months until it broke. The handle came off while I was carrying the water container back from the sink. Water everywhere, gruesome scene. So, I bought another humidifier (my third). Again, it was the ultrasonic type (because those tend to be the cute, compact, black ones). . . and again it broke after a few months. Not so dramatically this time, just quietly started leaking one day (didn’t leak when I first refilled it, no. It waited until I’d left the room to begin leaking on an antique table. Oops). So, $150 later, I swore that I would never buy another humidifier again because the whole industry is garbage and all their products will betray you after the return period closes. Bummer.I lived in dry, cracking squalor for half a year before I finally broke down and went looking to buy another humidifier. Low and behold, my old trusty humidifier was back, in black (or nearly so — the water bin is a blue stripe on the side). Yes, it’s large. Yes, it has a filter that you have to replace (less often if you do it right). Yes, you can’t see a pretty fog of water coming out of it to prove it’s working. But I love it. It’s simple, has less moving parts, and doesn’t break. My parents have been using one of their own for a year and it’s done great by them.Tips:- If there is water in the bottom tray (touching the “filter”–which is actually serving more as a sponge), keep the fan blowing. Don’t let the filter sit in water. This will generally prevent the filter from getting moldy, so you won’t have to replace it very often.- If there is no water in the bottom of the tray (the water has run out) — stop the fan. Otherwise the fan heats the filter so much that the filter begins melting. Especially if the fan is on the highest level (I haven’t tested, but I think maybe it doesn’t get so hot at the lowest level).- This does get a little tough, to hit the sweet spot. It means when I leave the house, I either make sure the water is filled all the way and the fan on or that the water is gone from the bottom tray and the fan is off.- Open it up occasionally and look at the filter. You’ll notice that it does yellow a little from when it gets too hot from the fan. I think this is OK. If you check it semi-regularly, you’ll be able to see this and know the difference between this and any ick that would require you to replace the filter.- If you use an ultrasonic humidifier, you have to be careful about what surface you put it on because that surface gets a little wet. This humidifier is a mist humidifier, so the effect is slower but its physical reach is larger. So, that means that you can put the humidifier on any surface and it won’t get that surface wet.- I use tap water.

Easy to maintain and keeps humidity at comfortable levels
We bought this product to support our whole house humidifier in the coldest, driest weather. We are using it in the master bedroom (approx. 12 x 20 with a vaulted ceiling). On the medium setting, it raises the humidity about 10% and runs about 20 hours before needing a refill (we use reverse osmosis water). The unit is easy to set up, refill, and clean (top rack dishwasher safe) and is no louder than a small fan. Occasionally there is a slight gurgling sound as the water level drops, but it’s certainly not annoying. I’m a light sleeper and really don’t notice anything. We have all noticed the improvement in our skin and noses, plus our cats are happy to be rid of all the static. We are very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this product.

I bought this humidifier over 5 years ago and it is going strong. Just take care to clean it about once a week with vinegar and rinse and flip the filter daily (and replace it when it gets crusty – but it lasts a long time before that happens) and it will work very well. I keep it running close to 24 hours a day, often on high, but switch to medium or low for very quiet operation. It is apparently rated for use in a room up to 400 square feet, but it does a great job in my 700 square foot apartment, all throughout the very dry Ontario winters. It raises the humidity from 20-25% to 35-45% which makes a significant difference. Helps alleviate dry skin, eyes and nose. I keep it on a little rolling metal cart from IKEA, which makes it very easy to move around. Very highly recommended!

Honeywell warranty not available in India on humidfier. The seller is a real fraud, i dont think the items imported are used ones…The humidifer stoped working within 5-6 nights only… seller took it from me for refund, its been more than 20 days and no call/reund from seller… its really disheartening, after buying the premium product i have to face such an experience….The seller is a real fraud… pls dont buy… its a clear recommnedation from my experience.Otherwise, be ready for such an experience. Choice is yours because the money is yours..Anyways the filter turned yellow within 2 days of use (that too after i used only mineral water).

Pretty useless. Humidification level is very low. Does not put good amount of moisture. Makes lot of noise. Regret buying a Honeywell.

This is a very simple yet effective product. It is easy to use: easy to fill and has three settings depending on the level of humidity one is looking for. It is also easy to fill and the filter is easy to replace. As for noise the unit is barely audible on low and medium settings.

This review is based on use over a full winter season of this version of the HCM350 with the internal UV light that is supposed to kill 99% of bacteria, mold, etc.The humidifier was used in a ~130 square foot bedroom during the winter with forced air heating. It was able to effectively raise relative humidity from 20-25% to 40-50%, depending on the speed setting used. We typically had it on the lowest setting for gentle white noise at night; humidity levels averaged in the high thirties to low forties. We live in a hard water area and initially contemplated using distilled water, but at a cost of about $1/gallon and the use of about one gallon per night for the bedroom would quickly exceed the cost of a couple filters. We used tap water and the filter eventually developed a light brown, crusty appearance along its edges, even when flipped daily with each reservoir refilling. This was due to iron and hard water, not due to mould. To prolong filter life, we used two filters during the season on a rotating basis. One in use while the other soaked in a strong white vinegar & water solution until needed. The vinegar solution was effective at removing the hard deposits, but was never able to quite restore the filter to ‘like new’ appearance (we didn’t try bleach, which might also be effective for those complaining of mould). But this pretty much maintained effectiveness. IIRC, we rotated the filters probably every couple weeks. Eventually the filters lost some structure and were replaced for this winter, but two for a full winter season seemed fairly reasonable. The humidifier was used every night and rarely sat idle longer than 12 hours, therefore can’t comment on how the filter would handle being left in a wet but unused state for prolonged periods, which probably isn’t ideal. We felt the lack of auto shutoff was not a major problem because it’s effectively just a fan inside an enclosure (though there’s also the UV light, which apparently has a finite lifespan). We did not have any problems with the glued seams of the replacement filters breaking, though we were careful not to put much stress on this area when in the vinegar soak, or while handling during the rinse process. That said, compared to the original filter included with the humidifier, these seemed to be slightly thinner walled.Overall, it works for us and we continue to use it this winter season.
